  • All bores pump tested up to 30 L/sec.
  • Drilled one production bore 30m deep for Point Lookout town water supply using the same construction techniques as above.
  • Drilled 10 Piezometer bores on North Stradbroke Island using Rotary mud 150mm dia up to 190m. Installed 50mm NB PVC class 12/18 casing and screens with a gravel pack.
  •  Drilled one production bore 3/m deep for Dunwich Town water supply using the same construction techniques as above.

GOSFORD CITY / WYONG SHIRE COUNCIL

Joint Water Supply Project – Ground water supplies up to 45 L/secCouncil employed four of SLADE’s drilling rigs on this project.

  • 20 x 150mm Test holes drilled through alluvium using Rotary Mud (RM) then drilled into Hawkesbury sandstone/Terrigal formation, using Down Hole Hammer (DHH). Drilled 200mm dia up to 45m, cased with 150mm NB surface casing, then drilled 150mm dia up to 150m.
  • 10 x 200mm Test holes drilled through alluvium using RM in to Hawkesbury sandstone/Terrigal formation using DHH.  Drilled 250mm dia up to 45m, cased with 200mm NB surface casing, then drilled 200mm dia up to 150m.
  • 26 x 150mm Production bores drilled through alluvium using RM into Hawkesbury sandstone/Terrigal formation, using DHH.  Drilled 250mm dia up to 45m, cased with 200mm NB surface casing, pressure cemented, then drilled 200mm dia up to 150m. Then cased with 150mm steel casing and SS screens, then gravel packed.
  • 7 x 200mm Production bores drilled through alluvium using RM into Hawkesbury sandstone/Terrigal formation, using DHH.  Drilled 300mm dia up to 45m, cased with 250mm NB surface casing, pressure cemented, then drilled 250mm dia up to 150m.  Then cased with 200mm steel casing and SS screens, then gravel packed.
  • 3 x 250mm Production bores drilled through alluvium using Rotary Mud into Hawkesbury sandstone/Terrigal formation, using DHH.  Drilled 450mm dia up to 30m, cased with 400mm NB surface casing, pressure cemented, then drilled 375mm dia up to 135m. Cased with 250mm Stainless Steel casing and SS screens, gravel packed, cemented from approx 40m to the surface using a tremie tube.
  • 3 x 250mm Production bores using RC, sites were located in high environmentally sensitive areas. In order to complete these bores we utilized our Reverse Circulation System to drill the test holes and production bores in compliance with the current EPA guidelines.  This proved to be highly successful.
